This is Barbie. She'll be my model for this first project.
For those of you who haven't played with a "My Size Barbie"... she is 3 feet, 2 inches tall and is a half size 8 (or 10?). She's sized just like the miniature dress forms you can buy for clothes modeling, but she has arms and legs so she's more fun.
I often use her for draping and testing ideas because she uses less fabric and is easy to position. Barbie can be very expensive, just like those little dress forms, but you can also find her on eBay for about $30 :-).
