Fitting the Pattern

First Fitting - Quite baggy :-)

I needed to remove the gaping at arm and neck,

So I turned it seams out (which is easy to do on Barbie, because she, unlike me, is very symmetrical),
then took it in at the bust and side.
You can see the tracing where I wanted the new arm seam to be.

Then adjusted the shoulders to match up with the newly fitted bust and armholes.

I penned all the new seams so I could match everything when unpinned.

Then I connected all the lines, trimmed off everything that wasn't a new seam allowance, off, resewed, then refitted.

The second fitting, was very close so I just pinned and penned it, then took it straight to paper.

First I cut off all the seam allowances, then spread it out on the old patterns to see the changes.

Then traced it off, added seam allowances, and cut it out of Swedish Pattern Paper

Then I cut and sewed it out of this fun gauze fabric I had laying around.  This has enough print on it's own, so rather than insetting lace, I'm going to sew brown velvet trim to the seams.  Next step, add the flounce :-)
